Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It highlights śravaṇa (devout listening) to Śiva-kathā as a direct purifier of the mind; Brahmā frames Śiva’s līlā as “mudāvahā”—joy-giving—pointing to Saguna Śiva’s compassionate self-revelation that matures bhakti and leads toward liberation.
By announcing the narration of Śiva-līlā, the verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva—knowable through names, forms, and sacred stories. Such kathā supports Linga-worship by giving devotees devotion, reverence, and right understanding of Śiva’s grace expressed through accessible divine action.
The implied practice is śiva-kathā-śravaṇa (listening/recitation) as sādhana—ideally paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and simple worship (offerings with a calm, attentive mind) to internalize the teaching.
