Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Hara
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a specific Jyotirliṅga; the focus is on normative pūjā (ṣoḍaśopacāra) as a complete ritual approach to Hara.
Significance: Establishes the merit of daily, rule-governed worship and repeated praṇāma—key Siddhānta disciplines for reducing mala (impurity) and strengthening śaraṇāgati.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It highlights disciplined bhakti: worship done “vidhivat” (in harmony with sacred order) and humility expressed through repeated pranāma, showing that steady daily devotion purifies the soul (paśu) and draws it toward Pati (Śiva).
The “sixteen offerings” are a classic Saguna mode of approaching Śiva—often performed to the Śiva-liṅga—where form-based worship becomes a concrete support for inner surrender and concentration, preparing the devotee for deeper realization.
Perform ṣoḍaśopacāra Śiva-pūjā (or a simplified daily version) with mantra-japa such as “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and conclude with repeated respectful pranāma—cultivating constancy (nityam) and humility.
