गिरिरुवाच । वीर्यं सोढुमशक्तोऽहं तव शंकर लोकप । गंगायां प्राक्षिपं सद्यो दुस्सहं परमेश्वर

ภูเขา (หิมาลัย) กล่าวว่า “โอ้ ศังกร ผู้พิทักษ์โลกทั้งปวง ข้าพเจ้าไม่อาจทนรับพลัง‑เดช (วีรยะ‑เตชัส) ของพระองค์ได้ ดังนั้น โอ้ ปรมเมศวร ข้าพเจ้าจึงทิ้งพลังอันยากทนนี้ลงสู่คงคาในทันที”
