เหล่าเทพกล่าวว่า “ผู้หลงเขลาที่ตั้งปณิธานแล้วไม่ทำให้สำเร็จสมบูรณ์ ผู้นั้นย่อมเป็นภาชนะรองรับบาปที่ทำให้วีรยะทิพย์ของพระองค์ถูกปฏิเสธและปกปิด”

It teaches that a vow (pratijñā/vrata) is a dharmic commitment; abandoning it out of delusion creates pāpa that veils one’s recognition of Shiva’s grace and power, strengthening bondage (pāśa) rather than moving toward liberation.
Linga-worship and Saguna Shiva devotion are sustained by steadiness (niṣṭhā). This verse warns that inconsistency and broken pledges in worship become a moral and spiritual veil, obstructing the devotee’s receptivity to Shiva’s śakti and anugraha (saving grace).
Complete whatever vrata or daily Shiva-upāsanā you begin—such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), applying tripuṇḍra-bhasma, or rudrākṣa-japa—maintaining truthfulness and follow-through as the core discipline.
