Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (Śivā and Śiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
The verse highlights dharmic responsiveness to Śiva-Śakti’s command: when the Divine directs, one should proceed with steadiness and correctness (samyak), aligning personal movement with the will of Pati (Śiva), which is a Shaiva Siddhanta ideal of disciplined service leading toward grace (anugraha).
Although the Liṅga is not named here, the verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s active governance—Śiva and Śivā guide events and devotees. In Liṅga-worship, this translates into living obedience: honoring Śiva’s presence not only in ritual but in carrying out righteous duties as an offering to the Lord.
The implied practice is disciplined right action (samyak-caryā) as worship—begin tasks after mental remembrance of Śiva (e.g., silent japa of the Pañcākṣarī “oṃ namaḥ śivāya”) and maintain purity of intent while traveling or performing assigned duties.
