Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It highlights the Shaiva ideal of śaraṇāgati (surrender): truthfully offering one’s experience to Śiva, then standing in humble devotion (añjali, bowed posture) as an inner act of placing the ego at the Lord’s feet.
The verse models Saguna-upāsanā: approaching Śiva as the personal Lord who receives praise and devotion. The same attitude is prescribed before the Śiva-liṅga—reporting one’s prayers, offering stuti, and remaining present in reverent awareness.
Practice añjali-mudrā with a bowed posture, recite Śiva-stuti or the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and remain quietly “standing before Śiva” as a brief dhyāna—steady attention in His presence.
