Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Stresses Āgama-prasiddhi and proper sthāna (susthala) for Liṅga worship—validity and purity of locus are treated as essential for stable, efficacious observance and for receiving Śiva’s grace.
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Shiva-worship should begin with saṅkalpa—an inward alignment of intention—followed by disciplined preparation. In Shaiva understanding, purity of resolve and correctness of method steady the mind (pāśa loosens) and orient the soul (paśu) toward Shiva (Pati).
The Liṅga is the sanctioned saguna focus for approaching the transcendent Shiva. The verse emphasizes worshiping a Liṅga that is properly established in an auspicious place and recognized by Āgamic authority, ensuring the practice is both spiritually potent and scripturally aligned.
Make a clear saṅkalpa, then collect proper pūjā-dravyas and perform Āgama-consistent Liṅga-pūjā. As a meditative takeaway, hold the resolve steadily and worship with mantra-japa (such as the pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while maintaining purity of place and mind.
