It highlights the auspicious harmony between Śiva and Viṣṇu and shows Śiva’s compassionate, accessible (saguṇa) presence—where divine grace is conveyed through gentle, reverent interaction.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the verse reflects saguṇa devotion: Śiva is portrayed as personally responsive and relational, reinforcing how devotees may approach the Liṅga as the living presence of Pati (the Lord) who bestows anugraha (grace).
The takeaway is bhakti with śuddha-bhāva (pure intent): approach Śiva with reverence and steadiness; in practice, this aligns with calm japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and mindful worship (pūjā) performed with a pleased, undistracted heart.
