It highlights satkāra—honouring a realized devotee/sage—as a dharmic act that supports the flow of Shiva’s grace; sacred instruction bears fruit when received with respect and shared faithfully.
In the Kotirudra context (Jyotirlinga-focused), the verse frames devotion as lived conduct: reverence to Shiva’s devotees and proper reception of spiritual guidance, which strengthens Saguna Shiva worship and pilgrimage merit.
Practise satkāra: respectfully welcome saints/teachers, listen attentively, and repeat Shiva’s teachings accurately; accompany it with simple japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as a steady daily discipline.
