Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Bhairava
Mantra: हुं
Role: destructive
It shows Śiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord) whose mere divine will and sound-power can burn hostile forces to ash—symbolizing the destruction of inner tamas, fear, and bondage when one takes refuge in Him through sincere prayer.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva as the compassionate protector who responds to devotees’ supplication; Linga-worship similarly approaches the Lord as present and responsive, granting protection and purifying the devotee’s consciousness.
Meditate on Śiva’s mantra-śakti—especially seed-sound remembrance (such as focusing on the power of sacred utterance) alongside bhakti; as a practical Shaiva discipline, combine japa with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and prayer for inner purification and protection.
