A devotee (narrated within Suta Goswami’s discourse in the Kailasha Samhita context)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It expresses bhakti through an arghya—an honoring offering—showing that approaching Pati (Shiva) with reverence and purity invites His grace (prasāda), which is central to liberation in Shaiva Siddhanta.
The verse reflects Saguna worship: Shiva is approached as the gracious Lord who receives offerings. Such arghya is commonly offered in Linga-pūjā as a gesture of welcome, honor, and surrender.
Perform arghya during Shiva-pūjā using clean water, flowers, and kuśa, accompanied by a prayer for prasāda; internally, cultivate humility and devotion while repeating Shiva’s name or the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
