प्र वां स्तोमाः सुवृक्तयो गिरो वर्धन्त्वश्विना । पुरुत्रा वृत्रहन्तमा ता नो भूतं पुरुस्पृहा ॥
prá vā́m stómāḥ suvr̥ktáyo gíro vardhantv aśvinā | púru-trā vŕ̥trahantamā tā́ no bhūtam puru-spṛ́hā ||
ขอให้บทสรรเสริญและถ้อยคำที่ร้อยเรียงอย่างงดงามของเราทั้งหลาย เพิ่มพูนท่านทั้งสอง โอ อัศวินทั้งคู่. โอผู้พิฆาตวฤตระ (Vṛtra) ผู้ยอดเยี่ยมในนานาสถานที่ จงเป็นพลังอันเป็นที่ปรารถนาอย่างยิ่งแก่เรา—มาปรากฏอยู่ ณ ที่นี้และบันดาลผลให้สำเร็จในความเป็นอยู่ของเราเถิด.
