यद्वा उ विश्पतिः शितः सुप्रीतो मनुषो विशि । विश्वेदग्निः प्रति रक्षांसि सेधति ॥

yádvā u viśpátiḥ śitáḥ su-prī́to mánuṣo viśí | víśved agníḥ práti rákṣāṃsi sédhati ||

เมื่อใดก็ตามที่เจ้าแห่งหมู่ชน (viśpati) ผู้คมกล้าและเป็นที่พอพระทัย ได้รับการสถาปนาอยู่ท่ามกลางหมู่มนุษย์ (viś) เมื่อนั้น อัคนี (Agni) ย่อมขับไล่และสกัดกั้น rakṣāṃsi ทั้งปวง—เหล่าอำนาจศัตรูผู้คุกคาม—ให้ถอยไป
