ते स्याम देव वरुण ते मित्र सूरिभिः सह । इषं स्वश्च धीमहि ॥
Transliteration
té syā́ma deva varuṇa té mitra sūríbhiḥ sahá | íṣaṃ svàś ca dhīmahi ||
Translation
ขอให้พวกเราจงเป็นของท่าน โอ้พระวรุณะผู้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์; ขอให้พวกเราจงเป็นของท่าน โอ้มิตร พร้อมกับเหล่าฤษีผู้เห็นแสง. ขอให้เราดำรงไว้ในดวงจิตซึ่งอิษ (iṣ พลังหล่อเลี้ยง) และสวะห์ (svaḥ ฟ้ากว้าง/ฟ้าแห่งสำนึก).
