ता जिह्वया सदमेदं सुमेधा आ यद्वां सत्यो अरतिॠते भूत् । तद्वां महित्वं घृतान्नावस्तु युवं दाशुषे वि चयिष्टमंहः ॥
tā́ jihváyā sádam ídaṃ su-medhā́ ā́ yád vāṃ satyó aratíḥ ṛté bhūt | tád vāṃ mahitváṃ ghṛtā́nnavāstu yuváṃ dāśúṣe ví cayiṣṭam áṃhaḥ ||
ด้วยลิ้นแห่งถ้อยคำอันเที่ยงตรง โอ้ผู้มีปัญญาดี เรานำสิ่งนี้มาถวายแด่ท่านทั้งสองเนืองนิตย์—เมื่อความอลหม่านอันเท็จเกิดขึ้นแยกจาก ṛta (สัจธรรมและระเบียบจักรวาล). ขอความยิ่งใหญ่ของท่านเป็นอาหารแห่งฆฤตะ (ghṛta) อันใสกระจ่างแก่เรา; ท่านทั้งสองเพื่อผู้ให้ จงจำแนกและขจัดความทุกข์เข็ญออกไป.
