अहं सप्त स्रवतो धारयं वृषा द्रवित्न्वः पृथिव्यां सीरा अधि । अहमर्णांसि वि तिरामि सुक्रतुर्युधा विदं मनवे गातुमिष्टये ॥
ahaṃ saptá sraváto dhā́rayaṃ vṛ́ṣā dravitnvaḥ pṛthivyā́ṃ sīrā́ ádhi | ahám arṇā́ṃsi ví tirāmi su-krátur yúdhā vídaṃ mánave gātúm iṣṭáye ||
ข้าในฐานะพลังดุจพฤษภ ได้ค้ำจุนสายน้ำทั้งเจ็ดให้ไหลตามทาง และได้วางแนวรอยไถบนแผ่นดินเพื่อผู้ก่อเกิดความอุดมสมบูรณ์. ข้าผู้มีเจตนาดีและปัญญาเที่ยงตรง ข้ามพ้นกระแสน้ำหลากแห่งภาวะทั้งหลาย; ด้วยการศึก ข้าค้นพบหนทางให้แก่มนุษย์—บุตรแห่งมานุ (Manu)—เพื่อให้ความใฝ่หาได้บรรลุผล.
