Sukta 10.4
कूचिज्जायते सनयासु नव्यो वने तस्थौ पलितो धूमकेतुः । अस्नातापो वृषभो न प्र वेति सचेतसो यं प्रणयन्त मर्ताः ॥
kū́cij jāyate sánayāsu návyo váne tasthau palitó dhū́ma-ketuḥ | asnātā́po vṛṣabhó na prá veti sácetaso yáṃ prá-nayanta mártāḥ ||
เขาบังเกิดขึ้นใหม่ ณ ที่ใดที่หนึ่งท่ามกลางการบังเกิดอันเก่าแก่ทั้งหลาย; ในพงไพรเขายืนอยู่ ผมหงอกดุจเถ้า มีควันเป็นธง. มิได้อาบด้วยสายน้ำ เขาก้าวหน้าไปดุจพฤษภ—ผู้นั้นแลที่มนุษย์ผู้ตื่นรู้พากันนำส่งไปข้างหน้า (เพื่อการงาน).
