ऋषभं मा समानानां सपत्नानां विषासहिम् । हन्तारं शत्रूणां कृधि विराजं गोपतिं गवाम् ॥

ṛṣabháṃ mā samānā́nāṃ sapátnānāṃ viṣāsahím | hantā́raṃ śátrūṇāṃ kṛdhi virā́jaṃ gópatim gávām ||

ขอทรงทำให้ข้าพเจ้าเป็นพญาวัว (ṛṣabha) ท่ามกลางผู้เสมอกัน เป็นผู้ข่มคู่แข่งให้พ่าย. ขอทรงทำให้ข้าพเจ้าเป็นผู้พิฆาตศัตรู ส่องประกายด้วยเดชอธิปไตย (virāj) เป็นเจ้าอภิบาล (gopati) แห่งฝูงโค—คือรัศมี (gāvaḥ)—เป็นนายแห่งความอุดมสมบูรณ์.
