इन्द्रो अस्मे सुमना अस्तु विश्वहा राजा सोमः सुवितस्याध्येतु नः । यथायथा मित्रधितानि संदधुरा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥
índro asmḗ su-mánā astu viśváhā rājā sómaḥ suvitásyā́dhy etu naḥ | yáthāyathā mitrá-dhitāni sam-dadhúr ā́ sarvatā́tim áditiṁ vṛṇīmahe ||
ขอพระอินทระทรงมีพระทัยอันดีต่อพวกเราตลอดกาล; ขอพระโสมราชาเสด็จเข้าสู่ความผาสุกอันดำเนินไปโดยชอบของเรา. ดุจรากฐานที่มิตร (มิตระ) ทรงวางไว้ประสานกันอย่างถูกต้อง—เพื่อความครบถ้วนสมบูรณ์ทั้งปวง เราขอเลือกอทิติ (Aditi).
