The Slaying of Indrajit
चुक्रुशुस्तेततःसर्वेवानराःसविभीषणाः ।हृष्यन्तोनिहतेतस्मिन् देवावृत्रवधेयथा ।।।।
cukruśus te tataḥ sarve vānarāḥ savibhīṣaṇāḥ |
hṛṣyanto nihate tasmin devā vṛtravadhe yathā ||
เหล่าวานรทั้งหลายพร้อมด้วยพิเภก ต่างโห่ร้องด้วยชัยชนะ ปิติยินดีประดุจเหล่าเทวดาที่ยินดีเมื่อครั้งวฤตราสูรถูกสังหาร
Then Vibheeshana and all the Vanaras rejoiced just as Devas, when Vrtasura was killed.
Righteous victory is celebrated not as cruelty, but as the removal of a destructive force—mirroring the cosmic ideal of protecting order (ṛta/dharma).
After Indrajit is killed, the Vanara host and Vibhīṣaṇa raise victory-cries.
Collective courage and morale—steadfast unity after enduring fear and losses in war.
