The Slaying of Indrajit

ऐन्द्रास्त्रेणसमायुज्यलक्ष्मणःपरवीरहा ।।6.91.73।।ततशिरःसशिरस्त्राणंश्रीमज्ज्वलितकुण्डलम् ।प्रमथ्येन्द्रजितःकायात्पातयामासभूतले ।।6.91.74।।

aindrāstreṇa samāyujya lakṣmaṇaḥ paravīrahā |

tat śiraḥ saśirastrāṇaṃ śrīmaj jvalitakuṇḍalam |

pramathyendrajitaḥ kāyāt pātayāmāsa bhūtale ||

ด้วยศรแห่งพระอินทร์ที่เล็งไว้อย่างแม่นยำ พระลักษมณ์ผู้สังหารยอดขุนพลศัตรู ได้ตัดเศียรของอินทรชิตที่สวมหมวกเกราะและตุ้มหูอันงดงาม ให้ขาดกระเด็นตกลงสู่พื้นดิน
