तैःपतभदिश्चबहुभिस्तयोःशरशतैःशितैः ।दिशश्चप्रदिशश्चैवबभूवुःशरसङ्कुलाः ।।।।
taiḥ patadbhiś ca bahubhis tayoḥ śaraśataiḥ śitaiḥ |
diśaś ca pradiśaś caiva babhūvuḥ śarasaṅkulāḥ ||
ด้วยศรคมกริบเป็นร้อยเป็นพันที่ทั้งสองยิงออกไปและโปรยลงดุจห่าฝน ทิศทั้งหลายและทิศระหว่างก็แน่นขนัดไปด้วยศร
Many hundreds of pointed arrows falling in all directions and intermediate points spread all over.
The verse underscores the gravity of warfare: when conflict escalates, it affects all ‘directions’—symbolically, all spheres of life. Dharma requires restraint and right purpose, not mere capacity for destruction.
Arrows from both combatants fall everywhere, saturating the battlefield and the surrounding space.
