युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः

रामस्तुव्यथितंश्रुत्वावालिपुत्त्रंरणाजरे ।।।।व्यादिदेशहरिश्रेष्ठान्जाम्बवत्प्रमुखांस्ततः ।
rāmas tu vyathitaṃ śrutvā vāliputraṃ raṇājire |
vyādideśa hariśreṣṭhān jāmbavatpramukhāṃs tataḥ ||
เมื่อพระรามทรงทราบว่าบุตรของพาลีได้รับบาดเจ็บในสนามรบ จึงทรงออกคำสั่งแก่เหล่าวานรชั้นยอด โดยมีชามพวานเป็นผู้นำทัพ
