Kumbhakarna’s sortie and Angada’s rallying of the Vanaras
न कुम्भकर्णःकाकुत्स्थंदृष्टवाजीवन् गमिष्यति ।दीप्यमानमिवासाद्यपतङ्गोज्वलनंयथा ।।।।
na kumbhakarṇaḥ kākutsthaṁ dṛṣṭvā jīvan gamiṣyati |
dīpyamānam ivāsādya pataṅgo jvalanaṁ yathā ||
กุมภกรรณจะไม่อาจจากไปทั้งเป็น เมื่อได้เผชิญหน้ากากุตสถะแล้ว ดุจแมลงเม่าบินเข้าหาไฟที่ลุกโพลง ย่อมหนีไม่พ้น
"Just as flies reaching the blazing fire can't escape, so also Kumbhakarna can't escape with life after facing Kakuthsa."
Adharma ultimately collapses before dharma: the tyrant’s power cannot stand when confronted by righteous authority.
The Vānaras are reassured that Kumbhakarṇa’s charge is not invincible because Rāma’s presence makes his defeat inevitable.
Śraddhā (trust) in dharmic leadership—confidence that righteousness has decisive force in the war.
