प्रकृत्याह्येषतेजस्वीकुम्भकर्णोमहाबलः ।अन्येषांराक्षसेन्द्राणांवरदानकृतंबलम् ।।6.61.12।।

prakṛtyā hy eṣa tejasvī kumbhakarṇo mahābalaḥ |

anyeṣāṃ rākṣasendrāṇāṃ varadānakṛtaṃ balam ||6.61.12||

เพราะกุมภกรรณนั้นโดยสันดานเดิมก็รุ่งเรืองและมีกำลังยิ่งใหญ่ ส่วนกำลังของเจ้าแห่งรากษสอื่น ๆ นั้นเกิดจากพร (วรทาน) ที่ได้รับ
