कुम्भकर्णविबोधनम्
The Awakening of Kumbhakarna
रामेणहिनिरस्तस्यसङ्ग्रामेऽस्मिन् सुदारुणे ।।।।भविष्यतिनमेशोकःकुम्भकर्णेविबोधिते ।
rāmeṇa hi nirastasya saṅgrāme 'smin sudāruṇe | bhaviṣyati na me śokaḥ kumbhakarṇe vibodhite ||
แม้เราจะถูกพระรามปราบลงในศึกอันน่าสะพรึงกลัวนี้ ครั้นกุมภกรรณถูกปลุกให้ตื่นแล้ว เราจักไม่โศกเศร้าอีกต่อไป
" After Kumbhakarna is fully aroused, my sorrow impelled in this terrible comb at with Rama will not be there."
Depending on force alone to erase inner guilt and fear is unstable; dharma teaches that peace comes from right action, not merely from stronger allies.
Rāvaṇa, feeling repulsed by Rāma, reassures himself that Kumbhakarṇa’s awakening will remove his distress.
Indirectly, the need for courage grounded in righteousness; Rāvaṇa instead shows anxious dependence on another’s power.
