Garuda’s Arrival and the Release from the Serpent-Arrow Bond
एतेनागाःकाद्रवेयास्तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्राविषोल्बणाः ।रक्षोमायाप्रभावेणशराभूत्वास्त्वदाश्रिताः ।।6.50.49।।
ete nāgāḥ kādraveyās tīkṣṇadaṃṣṭrā viṣolbaṇāḥ |
rakṣomāyāprabhāveṇa śarā bhūtvā tvadāśritāḥ ||6.50.49||
เหล่านี้คือพญานาค—พวกกาดรเวยะ—เขี้ยวคมและพิษร้ายแรงยิ่ง ด้วยอิทธิฤทธิ์มายาของยักษ์ (รากษส) พวกมันจึงกลายเป็นศรและเกาะรัดท่านไว้
"These arrows are serpents born of Kadra Devata. They have sharp fangs and are highly poisonous. By the tricks of Rakshasa, it has turned into arrows and reached you."
Dharma stresses clear-seeing: one must correctly identify the true nature of threats (here, serpents disguised as arrows) to respond with righteous and effective action.
Garuḍa reveals that the ‘arrows’ binding them are actually venomous nāgas transformed through rākṣasa māyā.
