Garuda’s Arrival and the Release from the Serpent-Arrow Bond
तानार्तान्नष्टसंज्ञांश्चगतासूंश्चबृहस्पतिः ।विद्याभिर्मन्त्रयुक्ताभिरोषधीभिश्चिकित्सति ।।6.50.28।।
tān ārtān naṣṭa-saṃjñāṃś ca gatāsūṃś ca bṛhaspatiḥ |
vidyābhir mantra-yuktābhir oṣadhībhiś cikitsati ||6.50.28||
ครั้นนั้นพระพฤหัสบดีได้บำบัดผู้ที่ทุกข์ระทม—ทั้งผู้สิ้นสติและผู้ใกล้สิ้นชีพ—ด้วยวิทยาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ประกอบมนตร์ และด้วยโอสถสมุนไพร
"Brhaspati, the priest restored the wounded and lifeless, unconscious by means of reciting mantras, prayers and treatment by herbs."
Dharma appears as compassionate protection of life: the wise use knowledge, prayer, and medicine to restore the fallen rather than abandon them.
After severe fighting, the divine side’s wounded and unconscious are tended by Bṛhaspati using mantric and medicinal means.
Compassionate responsibility and learned skill—healing as a righteous duty performed with knowledge and care.
