sahitaṃ pratijagrāha bhāryā-hartāram āgataḥ | kapoto vānaraśreṣṭhaḥ kiṃ punar mad-vidho janaḥ || 6.18.24 ||

โอ้ผู้ประเสริฐแห่งวานรทั้งหลาย แม้นกพิราบยังรับไว้และคุ้มครองผู้นำคู่ครองของตนไป เมื่อเขามาใกล้ แล้วคนเช่นเราจะยิ่งควรกระทำยิ่งกว่านั้นมิใช่หรือ
