ityuktvā paruṣaṃ vākyaṃ rāvaṇaṃ rāvaṇānujaḥ ।

ājagāma muhūrtena yatra rāmas salakṣmaṇaḥ ।।

ครั้นกล่าวถ้อยคำอันรุนแรงแก่ทศกัณฐ์แล้ว น้องชายของทศกัณฐ์ (วิภีษณะ) ก็ไปถึงในชั่วพริบตา ณ ที่ซึ่งพระรามทรงอยู่พร้อมพระลักษมณ์
