ityuktvā paruṣaṃ vākyaṃ rāvaṇaṃ rāvaṇānujaḥ | ājagāma muhūrtena yatra rāmas salakṣmaṇaḥ ||

ครั้นกล่าวถ้อยคำอันรุนแรงนั้นต่อทศกัณฐ์แล้ว น้องชายของทศกัณฐ์ (วิภีษณะ) ก็ไปถึงในพริบตายังสถานที่ซึ่งพระรามประทับอยู่พร้อมพระลักษมณ์
