Vibhīṣaṇa’s Counsel to Rāvaṇa and the Rākṣasa Court

जीवंस्तुरामस्यनमोक्ष्यसेत्वंगुप्तस्सवित्राप्यथवामरुद्भि: ।नवासवस्याङ्कगतोनमृत्योर्नभोनपाताळमनुप्रविष्टः ।।।।

Transliteration

jīvaṃs tu rāmasya na mokṣyase tvaṃ guptaḥ savitrā ’py athavā marudbhiḥ | na vāsavasya ’ṅkagato na mṛtyor nabho na pātāḷam anupraviṣṭaḥ ||

Translation

เจ้าจะไม่อาจรอดชีวิตจากพระรามได้ แม้สุริยเทพหรือเหล่ามารุตจะคุ้มครองก็ตาม ต่อให้ได้นั่งบนตักพระอินทร์หรืออยู่ในอ้อมกอดพระยม ก็หาใช่ทางรอดไม่ แม้หนีขึ้นสวรรค์หรือดำดิ่งสู่บาดาล ก็ไม่พ้นความตาย
