दशरथदर्शनम् — Dasharatha’s Epiphany and Benedictions
Sarga 122
न त्वंकामंसमाधेयाभर्तृशुश्रूषणंप्रति ।अवश्यंतुमयावाच्यमेषतेदैवतंपरम् ।।।।
na tvaṃ kāmaṃ samādheyā bhartṛśuśrūṣaṇaṃ prati |
avaśyaṃ tu mayā vācyaṃ eṣa te daivataṃ param ||
เจ้าไม่จำเป็นต้องมีผู้ใดกระตุ้นในความภักดีและการปรนนิบัติสามี แต่เราจำต้องกล่าวเป็นโอวาทว่า สำหรับเจ้า พระองค์ (พระราม) คือเทวะสูงสุดยิ่ง
"You need not be told about the service to your husband. Nevertheless, I am giving instruction. This Rama is supreme god for you."
It highlights marital dharma (pativratā-dharma): steadfast respect and devoted care toward one’s spouse, framed here as a sacred duty aligned with truth and righteousness.
After Rāvaṇa’s defeat, Daśaratha appears and offers counsel; here he addresses Sītā, affirming that her devotion to Rāma is already known, yet he still formalizes it as instruction.
Sītā’s fidelity and disciplined devotion (niyama, śuśrūṣā), and the ideal of recognizing righteous authority within family life.
