सीताया अग्निप्रवेशः

अप्रीतेनगुणैर्भर्त्रात्यक्तायाजनसंसदि ।याक्षमामेगतिर्गन्तुंप्रवेक्ष्येहव्यवाहनम् ।।।।

aprītena guṇair bhartrā tyaktāyā jana-saṁsadi |

yā kṣamā me gatir gantuṁ pravekṣyeha havyavāhanam ||

เมื่อสามีของข้า แม้คุณความดีทั้งหลายก็ยังไม่ทำให้พอพระทัย แล้วทอดทิ้งข้าในท่ามกลางสภาชน ข้าย่อมเหลือหนทางเดียวเท่านั้น: ณ ที่นี้และบัดนี้ ข้าจะก้าวเข้าสู่อัคนี ผู้ทรงนำเครื่องบูชา
