रामरावणयोर्युद्धवैषम्यं तथा रावणशिरश्छेदनम्

न चैवरावणस्यान्तोदृश्यतेजीवितक्षये ।ततस्सर्वास्त्रविद्वीरःकौसल्यानन्दवर्धनः ।।।।मार्गणैर्बहुभिर्युक्तश्चिन्तयामासराघवः ।
na caiva rāvaṇasyānto dṛśyate jīvitakṣaye |
tataḥ sarvāstravid vīraḥ kausalyānandavardhanaḥ |
mārgaṇair bahubhir yuktaś cintayāmāsa rāghavaḥ ||
แต่ราฆวะยังไม่เห็นวาระสิ้นชีวิตของทศกัณฐ์ใกล้เข้ามา ครั้นแล้ววีรบุรุษผู้รู้ศาสตราวุธทั้งปวง ผู้เพิ่มพูนความปีติแก่พระนางเกาสัลยา แม้มีศรนานาประการพร้อมสรรพ ก็เริ่มใคร่ครวญ
