रावणश्चयतस्तत्रप्रचचालवसुन्धरा ।।।।रक्षसां च प्रहरतांगृहीताइवबाहवः ।

sanirghātā maholkāś ca samprapetur mahāsvanāḥ | viṣādayaṃs te rakṣāṃsi rāvaṇasya tadāhitāḥ ||

อุกกาบาตใหญ่ตกลงพร้อมเสียงฟ้าร้องครืนครั่นและเสียงกึกก้องมหึมา; เหล่ารากษสเศร้าหมอง ถือเอาเป็นลางแห่งความพินาศอันใกล้ของทศกัณฐ์
