सूर्यानुगमनवृत्तान्तः
The Account of Following the Sun
मनश्च मे हतं भूयस्सन्निवर्त्यतु संश्रयम्।यत्नेन महता ह्यस्मिन्पुनस्सन्धाय चक्षुषी।।।।यत्नेन महता भूयो भास्करः प्रतिलोकितः।तुल्यः पृथ्वीप्रमाणेन भास्करः प्रतिभाति नौ।।।।
manaś ca me hataṃ bhūyaḥ sannivartyatu saṃśrayam | yatnena mahatā hy asmin punas sandhāya cakṣuṣī ||
yatnena mahatā bhūyo bhāskaraḥ pratilokitaḥ | tulyaḥ pṛthvīpramāṇena bhāskaraḥ pratibhāti nau ||
จิตของข้าพเจ้าถูกสะเทือนอีกครั้งจนหันกลับจากที่พึ่ง; ครั้นแล้วด้วยความเพียรยิ่ง ข้าพเจ้าจึงเพ่งนัยน์ตาให้แน่วแน่แล้วมองอีกครา ได้เห็นภาสกร (พระสุริยเทพ) อีกครั้งหนึ่ง. สำหรับพวกเรา พระอาทิตย์ปรากฏมีขนาดเสมอด้วยมาตรแห่งแผ่นดิน
