He went a long distance with other heroic monkeys, searching in the impenetrable caves of Vindhya mountain. They combed interior places, mountain peaks, fortresses surrounded by rivers, lakes, extensive groves of trees, bushes and thickets.
The verse depicts adharma: arrogance and threat-driven violence. It implicitly contrasts righteous strength (used in protection and duty) with unrighteous aggression.
The demon verbally threatens the Vānara party and immediately attacks in anger.
By contrast, the Vānaras’ steadiness is implied; the demon displays the vice of wrath (krodha) and boastful cruelty.
