Viśvāmitra Attains Brahmarṣi Status
न ह्यस्य वृजिनं किञ्चिद्दृश्यते सूक्ष्ममप्यथ।।1.65.11।।न दीयते यदि त्वस्य मनसा यदभीप्सितम्।विनाशयति त्रैलोक्यं तपसा सचराचरम्।।1.65.12।।
na hy asya vṛjinaṃ kiñcid dṛśyate sūkṣmam apy atha | na dīyate yadi tv asya manasā yad abhīpsitam | vināśayati trailokyaṃ tapasā sacarācaram ||
ในท่านนั้นหาโทษมิได้เลย แม้เพียงน้อยที่สุด หากสิ่งที่ท่านใฝ่ปรารถนาไม่ถูกมอบให้ ท่านย่อมอาจด้วยเดชานุภาพแห่งตบะทำลายไตรโลก พร้อมสรรพสัตว์ทั้งที่เคลื่อนไหวและไม่เคลื่อนไหว
His penance was flawless. If his wishes were not granted, he will surely destroy by his austerities the three worlds with all movables and immovables.
The verse reiterates that spiritual accomplishment must be governed by dharma; otherwise even merit can become an instrument of harm when tied to personal demand.
