बालकाण्ड सर्ग ३६
गङ्गा-प्रभवप्रश्नः, शिवतेजोधारणं, कार्त्तिकेय-जन्म, उमाशापः
स गत्वा तप आतिष्ठत्पार्श्वे तस्योत्तरे गिरौ।हिमवत्प्रभवे शृङ्गे सह देव्या महेश्वर:।।।।
sa gatvā tapa ātiṣṭhat pārśve tasyottare girau |
himavat-prabhave śṛṅge saha devyā maheśvaraḥ ||
ครั้นเสด็จไปถึงแล้ว พระมหेशวรพร้อมด้วยพระเทวีทรงบำเพ็ญตบะ ณ ยอดเขาหิมวัต อันอยู่ด้านเหนือของภูผานั้น
"Mahesvara along with goddess Uma, went north of the Himavat mountain and performed penance on a peak.
