विवर्णवदनं दृष्ट्वा तं प्रस्विन्नममर्षणम्।आह दुःखाभिसन्तप्ता किमिदानीमिदं प्रभो।।।।

vivarṇa-vadanaṃ dṛṣṭvā taṃ prasvinnam amarṣaṇam | āha duḥkhābhisantaptā kim idānīm idaṃ prabho ||

ครั้นเห็นพระพักตร์ซีดเผือด ชุ่มเหงื่อ และร้อนรุ่มด้วยความขุ่นเคือง นางสีดาผู้ถูกเผาไหม้ด้วยทุกข์ก็ทูลว่า “ข้าแต่พระผู้เป็นนาย บัดนี้สิ่งนี้คืออะไร?”
