इतीव विलपन्तीं तां प्रोवाच रघुनन्दनः।सीते तत्र भवांस्तातः प्रव्राजयति मां वनम्।।।।
itīva vilapantīṃ tāṃ provāca raghunandanaḥ | sīte tatra bhavān tātaḥ pravrājayati māṃ vanam ||
เมื่อเธอคร่ำครวญดังนี้ พระราม—ผู้เป็นความปีติแห่งวงศ์รฆุ—ตรัสว่า “สีตา ที่นั่นพระบิดาผู้ควรเคารพของเรา ทรงส่งเราให้ไปสู่ป่า”
