O Rama, scion of the Raghu dynasty ! there at Pampa, by shooting an arrow at the choicest fishes with a single bone, prawns and big fishes, crooked-faced fishes, fishes without scales and fins, baked on iron skewers and cooked will be offered to you by faithful Lakshmana.
Dharma is expressed as sevā within righteous kinship: Lakṣmaṇa’s devoted service supports Rāma’s higher duty, showing how personal care can be an instrument of dharmic action.
Kabandha foretells that near Pampā Lakṣmaṇa will provide food for Rāma, sustaining him for the next stages of the search for Sītā.
Lakṣmaṇa’s bhakti (devoted loyalty) and practical competence—he serves effectively, not merely emotionally.
