सुतीक्ष्णाश्रमप्रवेशः
Entry into Sutikshna’s Hermitage
एवमुक्तस्तु रामेण महर्षिर्लोकविश्रुतः।अब्रवीन्मधुरं वाक्यं हर्षेण महताऽप्लुतः।।3.7.16।।
evam uktaḥ tu rāmeṇa maharṣir loka-viśrutaḥ |
abravīn madhuraṃ vākyaṃ harṣeṇa mahatāplutaḥ || 3.7.16 ||
ครั้นถูกรามตรัสดังนี้ มหาฤษีผู้เลื่องลือไปทั่วโลก ก็เอ่ยถ้อยคำอันไพเราะตอบกลับ ด้วยความปีติยินดีอันยิ่งใหญ่ท่วมท้น
Thus addressed by Rama, Sutikshna, the great sage, well-known to the world was highly delighted. He (then) said these sweet words:
Right speech and right reception: respectful address fosters harmony; dharma is also social—maintaining auspicious relations between rulers/warriors and ascetics.
The narrator notes Sūtīkṣṇa’s delighted reaction to Rāma’s words, preparing for the sage’s guidance about the hermitage.
Rāma’s courtesy and the sage’s graciousness—mutual propriety (maryādā) in dialogue.
