अरण्यकाण्डे एकोनषष्टितमः सर्गः

Maricha’s Mimic Cry and the Rama–Lakshmana–Sita Confrontation

आर्येणेव पराक्रुष्टं हासीते लक्ष्मणेति च।परित्राहीति यद्वाक्यं मैथिल्यास्तच्छ्रुतिं गतम्।।।।

āryeṇeva parākruṣṭaṃ hā sīte lakṣmaṇeti ca |

paritrāhīti yad vākyaṃ maithilyās tac chrutiṃ gatam ||

เสียงร้องดังลั่นไปถึงโสตของนางไมถิลี ประหนึ่งออกจากท่านเองว่า “โอ้ สีตา! โอ้ ลักษมณะ! จงช่วยข้าด้วย!”

Hit by the arrow, the demon imitating my voice cried out in desperation which could be clearly audible even from a distance.
