त्राहि मामद्य काकुत्स्थ लक्ष्मणेति वराङ्गना।सुसन्त्रस्ता समाक्रन्दच्छृण्वतां तु यथान्तिके।।।।

trāhi mām adya kākutstha lakṣmaṇeti varāṅganā |

susantrastā samākrandac chṛṇvatāṃ tu yathāntike ||

ด้วยความหวาดผวาอย่างยิ่ง นางผู้ประเสริฐก็ร่ำไห้คร่ำครวญว่า “โปรดช่วยข้าวันนี้เถิด—โอ้กากุตสถะ! โอลักษมณะ!” ประหนึ่งว่าทั้งสองอยู่ใกล้และได้ยิน
