तत स्त्र्यवनतं चापमादायाऽत्मविभूषणम्।आबध्य च कलापौ द्वौ जगामोदग्रविक्रमः।।।।
tataḥ tryavanataṃ cāpam ādāyātmavibhūṣaṇam |
ābadhya ca kalāpau dvau jagāmōdagravikramaḥ ||
แล้วพระรามผู้ทรงเดชอันห้ามมิได้ ทรงหยิบคันศรอันโค้งสามตอนดุจเครื่องประดับของพระองค์ คาดกระบอกศรสองใบ แล้วเสด็จออกไป
And, hurt by the dart, Maricha roared frighteningly, leaped as high as a palm tree and dropped down on earth almost dead.

Rāma readies his weapons (bow and two quivers) and departs, moving into the next action sequence that leads to Mārīca’s being struck.
