The Slaying of Dūṣaṇa and the Rout of Khara’s Host
स दृमाणां शिलानां च वर्षं प्राणहरं महत्।।।।प्रतिजग्राह धर्मात्मा राघवस्तीक्ष्णसायकैः।
sa drumāṇāṃ śilānāṃ ca varṣaṃ prāṇaharaṃ mahat |
pratijagrāha dharmātmā rāghavas tīkṣṇasāyakaiḥ ||
ครั้นมีห่าฝนใหญ่คร่าชีวิตเป็นท่อนไม้และศิลาก้อนมหึมาตกลงมา พระราฆวะผู้ทรงธรรมก็ทรงรับมือด้วยศรคมกล้า ยิงต้านสกัดไว้
Rama filled the eyes of Sthulaksha with sharp arrows, and in anger shot five thousand arrows at the five thousand followers of Dusana in a moment and sent them to the abode of Yama.
Dharma here is steadfast protection: Rāma, as a righteous kṣatriya, does not yield to violent aggression but responsibly counters it to prevent harm.
In the forest battle, the rākṣasas hurl trees and stones at Rāma; he neutralizes the assault with precise archery.
