Concept: Those who serve only Hari’s feet are venerable regardless of origin; and if such devotion is present, brāhmaṇas and royal sages are even more worthy of honor—devotion is the decisive criterion.

Application: Honor devotion first: respect elders/teachers and social roles, but measure true reverence by sincerity of Hari-sevā; cultivate nonsectarian humility toward all bhaktas.

Hari (Vishnu)

FAQs

It states that exclusive servants of Hari’s feet are already worthy of reverence, and by extension it amplifies the duty to honor virtuous Brahmins, devoted bhaktas, and royal sages.

It means “those who serve only Hari’s feet,” i.e., single-minded devotees whose life is dedicated to Viṣṇu (Hari) alone.

The ethical thrust is gradated respect: reverence toward sincere devotees and even greater honor toward exemplary spiritual and righteous figures (virtuous Brahmins, bhaktas, and rājarṣis).
