द्वौ दैवे पितृकृत्ये त्रीनेकैकमुभयत्र वा । भोजयेत्सुसमृद्धोपि न प्रकुर्वीत विस्तरम्

dvau daive pitṛkṛtye trīnekaikamubhayatra vā | bhojayetsusamṛddhopi na prakurvīta vistaram

ในพิธีบูชาเทพ พึงเลี้ยงพราหมณ์สองรูป; ในพิธีบูชาบรรพชน พึงเลี้ยงสามรูป—หรืออย่างละหนึ่งตามควร หรือหนึ่งรูปสำหรับทั้งสองพิธีร่วมกันก็ได้ แม้มั่งคั่งเพียงใด ก็ไม่พึงทำเลี้ยงให้เป็นการโอ่อ่าอวดแสดง
